Arrive at Jose Martí Airport in Havana and transfer to a hotel or casa particular (Private home) to get settled in. Your afternoon in Havana begins with a fresh farm to table lunch at Mediterráneo Havana. Then, we will take you on a tour around the upscale districts of Vedado and Miramar in a Vintage Classic American Car. Then, you will enjoy dinner at the eclectic Atelier Restaurant in Havana. After dinner, you will visit Fábrica de Arte Cubano (FAC) to close your first night in Cuba.

Your day will start with breakfast at your hotel or private home. Our first stop will be a visit to the famous H. Upmann Cigar Factory for an insider’s tour of Habano production. Next, we will tour the charming Old Havana and its four main squares, including a stop at the famous Bodeguita del Medio. Lunch will be at the delicious Doña Eutimia Restaurant in Plaza de la Catedral for traditional cuisine in a casual setting. After lunch, we will visit Museo del Ron, home of the famous Havana Club Rum. Our next stop will be the Museo de Los Orishas in Old Havana. Here we will learn more about the Yoruba religion influence in Cuba, see the physical representations, and the elements of the main Orishas. Immediately after, we will visit the San Jose Artisanal Market for some time to buy gifts and novelty items such as coffee, crafts, and natural skincare items. You will then have a stop at your accommodations to freshen up for dinner at San Cristóbal Restaurant where you can feast your palate and feast your eyes with the magnificent clock collections and other unique pieces.

Start fresh with breakfast at your accommodations. Today we will tour the city of Matanzas, a culturally rich and ethnically diverse city with the palpable warmth of Africa. Matanzas is the second largest city in Cuba. It is also the birthplace of the drums and the rumba, the first national dance of Cuba. We will learn up close about the Slave Route at the Slave Route Museum housed at the Castillo de San Severino, the jewel of Matanzas. The Museum has dedicated sectors to the culture and values of African immigrants with a section dedicated to the Orishas.
Upon our departure from Matanzas, we will transfer to the resort and beach town of Varadero. Here you will check in to your new accommodations and get settled in. Lunch will be at a private restaurant. After lunch, you will enjoy the rest of the day at the beach and have the evening open to exploring.

Today, you will first enjoy breakfast at your accommodations. Our tour will begin with a visit to the Museo of Afro-Cuban Religion in the town of Regla, built around the Church of the Black Virgin, a shrine to Yemayá, one of the principal deities of the Yoruba religion. At noontime, we will head to the colorful Callejón de Hamel, an alleyway in downtown Havana where art, religion, and music blend. Bring your dancing shoes for some dancing and listening to local instruments, like the tumbadora (conga) drum. Lunch today will be at Habana 61 Restaurant. You will then have a break to freshen up at your accommodations before departing for dinner at Café Laurent. The Café offers creative and artfully presented cuisine, with the backdrop of the city.
