YUCA Y MOJITO ITINERARY

DAY 1, Departure Havana

Arrive in José Martí Airport

Transfer to Casa Particular or Hotel

10:00 am Walking tour at old Havana where you will able to visit the four principle squares in Old Havana such as Cathedral Square, Arms Square, San Francisco Square and Old Square.

1:00 pm Lunch at Doña Eutimia, is a great find in Habana Vieja. Apart from its great location - next to the Plaza de la Catedral - the food and service were totally amazing. I recommend you taste the Ropa Vieja, style family meal.

Then you will have an afternoon tour of breathtaking Havana in classic American convertible cars. We offer you and your guest a wide range of classic cars like Chevrolet, Ford, Buick, Cadillac, Mercury, Dodge, Oldsmobile and Pontiac.

You will enjoy a ride along the Malecon to El Morro. Here we will take pictures of the sweeping cityscape of Havana from the bay entrance and will stop at some of the most iconic places throughout Havana: The Capitol, the ChinaTown, Carlos III street, after you will Chatting with vintage car owners in their workshops.
Time to relax and prepare for dinner at your Casa Particular or Hotel

8:00 pm Dinner at Tatagua restaurant. An aboriginal legend from Cienfuegos gives it its name, because Tatagua is the Cuban witch butterfly. A space marked by the mysticism of the butterfly, by the original Cubanness and by the desire to represent from the gastronomic and artistic space the modernity, the culture, the Cuba that also beats from that corner in the Paseo del Prado. La Tatagua flutters and welcomes you to discover its own flavors and provide good auguries with the varied cocktails.

9:30 pm Enjoy Tropicana Show. Nat King Cole, Josephine Baker, Libertad Lamarque, Cheo Feliciano, Rita Montaner, Elena Burke and Bola de Nieve are among the stars that have performed in Tropicana Cabaret, known as one of the most popular cabarets in Havana, Cuba, and the spotlight of this tour.
Built in 1939 in the Havana neighborhood of Marianao, many considered the idea of such a large nightclub, which accommodates up to 300 guests, unrealistic, yet today it is on of Havana’s most popular tourism venues.

Located in a forest with large majestic trees, such as Royal Palms, Mamoncillos, mango trees, cedar and many others, enjoy one of the largest and most beautiful nightclubs in Cuba, with a production of more than 200 dancers and singers performing under the stars.

DAY 2, Havana

Breakfast at your Casa Particular or Hotel

9:00 am Your day begins at the Museo del Ron, home to the most famous Cuban rum, Havana Club. Located in the historic district of Habana Vieja (“old Havana”), the museum is housed in a renovated 18th-century “solar” (colonial townhouse). The museum opened in the year 2000 by the Fundación Havana Club, and it is a symbol in the historical heart of Havana.

Here, you will enjoy a guided tour, offered in Spanish, English, French, German and Italian, of the historical production of rum.10:00 am Farm-to-table is a social movement that promotes serving local food at restaurants and school cafeterias, usually through direct acquisition from the producer. The Mediterráneo Havana is the first farm-to-table restaurant in Havana, Cuba, and on this excursion you will learn all about the process of getting your food directly from the farm to your table.

Afterwards, you will visit Vista Hermosa farm with an expert in Cuban cuisine, where you will learn about the elaboration of the fruits and vegetables grown there and you will have the opportunity to taste some of them.

The farm provides food to the restaurant, and you will have to opportunity to go there in true local style via a horse ride or on a cart. There, you will learn about the process of animal breeding, and also get to feed them.

After a fun-filled morning where you’ve learned all about the farm-to-table process, you will get to enjoy your lunch there.

You will come back to your casa particular or hotel to refresh and resto before dinner.

8:00 pm Dinner at “El Cocinero” (Far from all stereotypes, El Cocinero is committed to redefining the culinary experience in Cuba with a carefully thought-out cuisine for special occasions.) near to the FAC installation.

After a delicious dinner you will visit Fábrica de Arte Cubano. The Cuban Art Factory is a place open to the exchange of ideas between the different cultural expressions that coexist in the building.

The project is designed for people to show and consume art. We are not working for the usual gallery-hopping crowd that goes to shows with their hands in their pockets, looking for something new. We need to find the way to reach people who have never gone to a gallery or a theater and who suddenly are being faced with this trap.

FAC normally use music as a hook, then at some point in the night there will be a performance or a dance number followed by DJs, disco or background music, all decorated with visual art work.
Visits by celebrities like Lady Gaga or Mick Jagger triggered the already growing trend of popularity of this center. Even Michelle Obama was passing through “the Factory”, as many people call it.

DAY 3, Havana

Breakfast at your Casa Particular

10:00 am Tour around Cojimar the district where Hemingway docked his boat El Pilar. Not only did he use the town as a base for fishing, Cojimar was the background for one of his most famous works, The Old Man and the Sea. The ‘old man’ in the title is reputedly his guide Gregorio Fuentes, a Cojimar local.

You will have the opportunity to visit Las Terrezas de Cojimar, Hemingway´s favorite restaurant in the area, as the images of the American writer who decorate the premises demonstrate.

Gregorio Fuentes inspired Hemingway to write the character of Santiago, the old fisherman protagonist of the book “El Viejo y el Mar”, with whom he won the Pulitzer Prize in 1953 and the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954.11:00 am Lecture with Jorge, one of the best chefs in the country and owner of “Casa Grande” restaurant. You will learn how to make some cuban food in his restaurant.

After this, lunch time at “Casa Grande”

Afterwards, you return to your casa particular or hotel to rest and refresh.

7:00 pm You will take lesson of Cuban drinks in El Divino restaurant, included snacks and welcome cocktail.

8:30 pm Dinner at Divino restaurant.

DAY 4, Havana

8:30 am Departure to Viñales. Just a few hours from Havana, Viñales Valley is a unique landscape surrounded by hills with vertical sides and rounded tops, called mogotes (pin-cushion hills) and surrounded by a lovely valley with rich, red earth tones and majestic palm trees in the Pinar del Río province. This is one of Cuba’s most fertile areas and where some of the world’s best tobacco is grown, harvested, dried and processed.

Viñales Valley is one of the best-known areas of Cuba, and in the late 1900s, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. The valley is also a national monument. Its beauty and size, 132 square km (51 square miles), make it the most outstanding example of karst valleys in Cuba.

You will explore the Cueva del Indio (Indian Cave), one of the most antique caves in Cuba, where you can sail through a small underground river that is about 400 meters in length.

After sailing through the underground river, you will go to the Mirador Los Jardines, where you will be able to admire the Viñales Valley.

You will also visit the Mural de la Pre-Historia, a120-meter-tall replica of prehistoric paintings on a mogote.

1:00 pm Afterwards, you will go to Finca Paraíso, there we have a tour around farm and later we have lunch there and meeting with the owners. You will learn a little more about food business in Cuba.

Return to Havana city.

9:00 pm Farewell Dinner at Café Laurent.

DAY 5, Departure to U.S

Breakfast at your Casa Particular or hotel.

Transfer to the Airport

Check in to your departure flight. Flight to Miami
